Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as an elementary school teacher, and her mother as a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick was a gifted entertainer and singer at a young age. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial before being cast in The Wind It Up and It's Breaks by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids to play the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had a blended-family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in the year 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on the stage of the show during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book, Here's the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that during season five of the show she almost lost her virginity to Barry Williams. It was likely that we would have a romantic couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't just right.
